How to get there
The City of Alicante University Headquarters are located at Avenida Ramón y Cajal number 4 (on the corner of Avenida Doctor Gadea). The building in which the campus is housed is a neoclassical palace consisting of two stone facades at almost right angles with a small chamfer at the intersection of the two main avenues, and that since its origins are inevitably linked to the educational and economic activity of the city of Alicante.
The main access routes to the city are the followings:
Air connections
El Altet Airport is located in Elche, just under 10 kilometers from the center of Alicante. It is the busiest airport in the Valencian Community and one of the ten busiest in Spain. To start the search for your tickets you can use Skyscanner.
To get to Alicante by public transport, city buses area available, specifically the C-6 line. The trip takes about 40 minutes and the ticket costs €3.85. Another option is to travel by cab, more expensive, but fast and comfortable. To avoid surprises, you can hire in advance the private transport service from the airport to your accommodation.
Rail connections
There is a high-speed railway option, the AVE Madrid-Alicante route, which takes about two and a half hours. From other origins consult the Renfe website.
Driving
The A-31 highway, which originates in Albacete but is connected to Madrid via the A-3 and the AP-36, runs into the city.
There is also the A-70 road and further out the AP-7, which acts as a ring road as it passes through Alicante.
Traveling from the old A-7, it is reached via the A-77 highway.
